How to file a claim

1. Navigate to the annotation in question.
2. Click File a claim. You'll be taken to /claim/[annotationId].
3. Provide your name, contact email, a link to the original work, a detailed description of the infringement, and your electronic signature.
4. Attest, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate.

When a claim is filed the annotation is immediately marked as "disputed" and hidden from public feeds while we review.

Counter-notices

Annotation owners may file a counter-notice if they believe a claim was filed in error. Our team reviews both sides before making a final determination.

Repeat infringers

Accounts with repeated upheld claims may be suspended or terminated at our discretion.
