Privacy Policy

Annotated collects the minimum information needed to run the service: your email, display name, avatar, and the annotations you create. We do not sell user data.

OAuth data

We use Google and X OAuth to verify identity. We request only the basic profile scope. We never post on your behalf.

Browser extension

The Annotated browser extension (Chrome and Microsoft Edge) reads the URL and page metadata of the active tab only when you open the sidebar. It does not track browsing history. Audio you record is sent directly to Supabase Storage and associated with your account.

Third parties

• Supabase - authentication, database, storage
• Vercel - hosting
• Resend - transactional email for DMCA / notifications
• YouTube - embeds on annotations sourced from YouTube

Your rights

You can delete your account from your profile page at any time. This removes all your annotations, comments, and likes. Email privacy@annotated.com with questions.
